ON BEHALF of Settle Rotary Club, I would like to say a big 'thank you' to both adults and children who made Santa and his Elves so welcome as we toured the area, from Hellifield to Clapham and Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Wigglesworth and all places in between.
The reception was tremendous. The support at the lights switch-on in Settle was magnificent again this year. The queue to see Santa, as always, was good humoured.
It all makes the sometimes wet and cold nights, over three weeks, so worthwhile for us and there is an added bonus to all this - this year you generously donated the sum of more than £5,240 to fund our donations to local charities, clubs, individuals, societies and other good causes.
Our Rotary elves were always received with good humour and overwhelming generosity. It is not just Rotary that wishes to thank you, but also those who will benefit when we support the local causes in the coming months.
