I'VE heard people suggesting very old people who go shopping should stay at home and get someone else to shop for them.

I'm sure this would be best for most but there will be people for whom that outing is the only thing that keeps them going.

How about a cheery "Good morning, can I help you?" at the shops rather than the well-meant "You should be at home, I can get someone to deliver for you".

We never know what's going on in other people's heads and lives.

Take care and stay safe everyone
