IS anyone else concerned at the rate of urbanisation of the eastern side of Windermere lake?

I recently digitalised some cine film taken in the 60s showing the landscape then and apart from a handful of Voysey houses and a few Victorian villas the natural woodland came down the water.

Now it seems Bowness has extended itself a few miles south, with no apparent theme for architecture or design.

Anything goes. Permission granted but at what cost to the future of our prized landscape?

The human race is brilliant at destroying that which attracted it in the first place.

For those of us who live on the western side and need planning permission just to breathe it is deeply saddening.
