THE Westmorland League Football season officially starts on Saturday, August 15, however some teams start the day before.

Defending Division One holders Appleby begin the defence of their title with an away game at Kendal Countys Reserves on the Friday evening while County Cup holders Keswick start at Lunesdale Utd on the opening day.

Ambleside Utd who return to The Westmorland Football League after coming out of The West Lancs League begin their Division One Campaign on Thursday, August 20with an away game at newly-promoted Ibis.

The other games see Kendal Utd travel to Penrith Reserves on the opening day, while Ibis newly promoted to Division One have a tough run in where they face Appleby, Ambleside, Lunesdale Utd, Kendal County Reserves and Kirkoswald.

Most of which are at home with the exception of Kendal County Reserves.

New boys AFC Carlisle begin life for the first time in the Westmorland League with a home game against Ullswater United in Division Three.

The other new teams to the Westmorland League such as Kirkoswald Reserves start at Appleby Reserves with Endmoor KGR Reserves starting at Eden Thistle.
