The Westmorland Football league saw plenty of goals scored in another entertaining afternoon of action across all three divisions.

In Division One Rob Whitton’s goal helped Kirkoswald to a narrow 1-0 win over league leaders Appleby.

Richard Bannister’s hattrick helped defending division one champions Keswick to a comprehensive 5-0 win at Kendal County Reserves. Defeat for Kendal sees them slip to tenth in the table, while Keswick reduced the gap at the top down to four points.

In the other games braces from Niall Renwick and Lewis Renvoise helped Wetheriggs United to a comfortable 7-1 win at bottom side Ambleside United.

Karl Satterthwaite scored a hattrick in Burneside's dramatic 5-4 win at Lunesdale United, while Windermere eased to a 5-2 home win over Penrith Reserves.

Wetheriggs United Reserves remained top of Westmorland League Division Two after a 4-1 win over Windermere Reserves. Alex Johnson with a hattrick, before Andreas Granerud rounded off an important win.

Conor Stephenson’s hattrick helped Kendal United Reserves to their first win of the season after they defeated Greystoke 5-1 at Castle Drive.

Langwathby United and Dent battled out a dramatic 4-4 draw, Eden Thistle picked up a 3-0 win at Staveley United, while Charlie Robson’s goal helped Keswick Reserves to a 1-1 draw against Carleton Banks.

AFC Carlisle continued their charge at the top of Division Three after an emphatic 9-1 win over Lunesdale United Reserves. David Barnes with a hat trick, while a brace from Steven Brough and goals from Christopher Rush, Daniel Dixon and Liam Thompson saw Carlisle go five points clear.

In the other games Stephen Sewell’s hat trick eased Ambleside Town to a 5-3 win over Appleby Reserves, Adam Soulby scored five goals while Connor Crawshaw scored four in Endmoor KGR Reserves comprehensive 10-1 home win over Penrith Saints.

Sedbergh Wanderers Reserves defeated Ibis Reserves 2-0 at the Jubilee Playing Fields, David Burton and Jake Woof with the crucial goals while a brace from Petar Taskov helped Penrith Royal to a 5-1 derby win over Penrith Town.
