In West Lancashire League Division One, Milnthorpe Corinthians remained joint top of the division after a hard fought 2-1 victory at a resurgent Hawcoat Park.

Corinthians made a poor start and fell behind after 35 minutes when Jake Rees scored.

However ,Corinthians equalised five minutes into the second half through Zac Clarke, before Matthew Knipe edged The Cors in front after 79 minutes to register another win for Steve Edmondson’s Team.

In the other Division One game, Kendal County lost 3-1 at Lytham Town, The Claret and Blues who are playing their first season in the Division were below par against a difficult opponent. Lytham Town battled to the win thanks to goals by Tom Pickervance, Danny Scarlett and Nathan Cook.

Kendal United continued their good form in West Lancashire League Division Two after a comfortable 5-3 home win against Croston Sport.

United opened the scoring after 4 minutes when Calvin Hunter Dale scored, before goals by Greg Pearce and Sam Hunter saw Kendal 3-0 up after 15 minutes.

Karl Satterthwaite scored Kendal’s fourth goal 10 minutes into the second half. Croston dominated the last half hour of the game and pulled three goals back through Scott Hendy, Matthew Masterson and Daniel Cooper before Kendal held on for the win.

In West Lancashire League Division Three Milnthorpe Corinthian Reserves threw a 3 goal lead away before drawing 3-3 with Haslingden St Mary's Reserve.

The Cors were 2-0 up at half time through an own goal and a Calvin Dollard strike, Will Booth scored the third goal in the second half as Corinthians were 3-0 up before Haslingden battled back. Jack Hilton started the comeback, while goals by Henry Hindle and David Snaith left Corinthians frustrated.
