Carus Green golf club member Adam Chapman has been showing off the fruits of his labour following his significant win at the Hotelplanner.com PGA Europro Tour.

Adam, who won against more than 50 players in Portugal, collected more than £22,000 worth of prize money and a huge trophy, which is now proudly displayed in Carus Green’s Golf Centre for all to see.

It was the first major title win for Adam in his debut year as a professional, and as a result, he also claimed his card for the 2018 Challenge Tour and moved up from 54th place on the tour order of merit to an impressive third, earning himself the place on the Challenge Tour, one level below the European Tour itself.

With practice well underway for the season ahead, Adam is heading out to Portugal in March to work on improving all aspects of his game and has his eyes fixed firmly on completing a successful 2018.

“Winning the PGA Europro Tour was a life-changing moment for me, so I’m keen to maintain that quality of play this season,” said Adam. “I have been working hard with the team at Carus this winter, with Andrew Pickering continuing to coach me overall and Adam Lynn helping me improve my putting technique. I’m feeling positive.”

Andrew Pickering added: “Having Adam’s trophy on display at the Carus Green Golf Centre has been amazing and with everyone at Carus – both staff and members – continually supporting him and his progress, it’s great for everyone to be able to share in his success. We are looking forward to seeing what the forthcoming season has in store."
