WESTGATE lost by two wickets to Silverdale in a dramatic game in Division One that went down to the final ball.

They were put into bat, where Gary Tattersall’s knock of 87 guided the defending Division One title holders to 214-8 off 45 overs.

Silverdale’s main wicket taker was P Moffatt who claimed figures of 4-77.

Silverdale reached 206-9 off 44 in their reply.

However victory was achieved when C Graham hit the winning runs after scoring an undefeated 20.

Silverdale claimed 12 points while Westgate ended up with 3.

Carnforth won by nine wickets at Burneside, Jack Thompson returned figures of 5-36 after Burneside were all out in the first innings for 90 before the visitors eased home closing on 94-1 off 12 overs.

Milnthorpe defeated Holme by 27 runs. Stephen Bowman top scored with 56, in Milnthorpes first innings total of 157.

In reply Holme were all out for 129.

Heysham picked up an important 93 run win against Warton. Andy Powers scored 41 in Heysham’s first innings total of 193-9.

Warton were all out for 99, despite Tom Barnfields undefeated knock of 54.

Arnside defeated Shireshead by 69 runs in the final Division One game.

In Division Two,Sedgwick saw off Coniston by 7 wickets. J Royce posted an undefeated knock of 109 in Kirkby Lonsdale’s seven wicket win against Ingleton. Trimpell managed a two wicket win over Shireshead A.

Netherfield Thirds continued to lead the way in Division Three after a comprehensive 112 run victory against Sedgwick A.

In reply James Morgan picked up figures of 4-18 after Sedgwick A were all out for 85.

Cartmel are second in the table after being held to a winning draw by Holme A. Cartmel declared on 265-7. Holme held out closing on 163-7.

Galgate eased past Silverdale A. Galgate declared first innings total of 260-7. Silverdale A were all out for 116.
