Abbot Hall Bowling Club played host to the Coach Bowls Activator Course, which was organised by The British Crown Green Bowling Association.
The Association used the course as part of its support in the development of Crown Green Bowling in the county.
It proved to be a successful afternoon after a good number of volunteers attended the event.
The purpose of the course was to provide a fun, informal and relaxed introduction to bowling, while also offering basic knowledge information and skills to new and existing coaches as well as volunteers.
Mark Burcumshaw, the Interim Chief Executive Office of The BCGBA, facilitated the course and gave out information and advice to the participants.
