A YOUTHFUL Kendal Ladies 1s team travelled to Chester knowing they were in for a tough time and started well against the host’s half pitch press, passing the ball around the back three with Molly Wilson not being tempted to drive at them.

But Chester changed their tactics and pushed much higher up the pitch to score twice before Vicky Whalley-Jones converted from a short corner to make it 2-1 at half time.

Unfortunately as the travelling midfield and attackers were pushing hard to find the net in the second half, Kendal had little left in the tank and Chester scored twice more to make the final score 4-1.

The ladies 2s welcomes top of the league Carlisle to QKS and took the lead through Flora Belshaw. Carlisle came back to make it 1-1 at half time but Kendal took the lead again through another Belshaw goal before two scores in the last 15 minutes saw the hosts win 3-2.
