THE Hansens Creative Under 25 Summer League got underway on a wet and miserable evening at Kirkbie Kendal School last week.

Ibis, Endmoor, Kendal County, Milnthorpe Corinthians, Arnside and Meathop Vale are the six teams taking part and they were all in action on a busy night of Wednesday evening football in the usual format of three one hour games which are played at the same venue between 6pm and 9pm.

In the first game reigning champions Ibis began the defence of their title with a resounding 4-2 victory against Endmoor KGR.

Endmoor battled throughout after James Halton scored two unstoppable free kicks, but Ibis put in a fine performance and eased to victory.

Kendal County and Milnthorpe Corinthians battled out a hard fought 0-0 draw in the second game as both teams resumed their close rivalry while Arnside defeated Meathop Vale 2-0 in the final game of the night.
