NINETY-four runners competed in the midweek Levens 10 kilometre road race.
Wesham’s Rob Danson was a clear winner in 32-30 and was followed over the line by the Kendal pairing of Luke Bowen (34-57) and Richard Wilson (35-45), who was first V40.
Hoad Hill’s Andrew Dorrian (36-27) was fifth while Kendal’s Matt Wilson (37-01) placed seventh.
The first woman was Lancaster & Morecambe’s Katherine Cousins (40-24) who was 19th finishing ahead of her team mate.
Elsewhere, Kendal Triathlon Club were active this week with Nina Caygill and Pete Robinson racing in the Epic Man middle distance triathlon in Windermere and Tania Peters in the Standard distance.
Nina had an impressive race to finish eighth woman with 6:18:32.
Further afield Kath Finn and Jude Swan took part in the Middle Distance National Championships at Chester with Kath finishing in 5:17:40 to win silver in the 55-59 category, and Helen Farthing won the standard distance 60-64 section in 3:11:04.
The club also had competitors in the Anglesey Trail Half Marathon and the Arctic Triple Ultra Marathon in Norway.
