WINDERMERE A moved up to fourth place in the Kendal and District Bowling League after defeating Holme B 7-3.
Dave Mcroy picked up the first points for Holme when he saw off Jane Glaister 21-18, but Windermere battled back and were soon in front when Steve Carruthers saw off Alan Hine 21-10 before David Dunlop edged out Stephen Varcoe 21-16.
Windermere continued to pile on the points following Peter Dobson’s 21-17 victory over Ellie Chandler while Simon Walker picked up the best result following an impressive 21-2 win over Tom Baxter.
Holme fought on as David Crayston and Alan Stewart picked up respective wins over Chris West and Denis Blair before Paul Bush’s 21-7 win against John Shires secured the win for Windermere
Holme A continue to run riot at the top after they saw off Staveley A 8-2, while Victoria A defeated Netherfield A 9-1, Levens A eased past Burton A 8-2, Lindale A won 7-3 over Victoria B and Hale A edged out Burneside A 6-4.
Burton B remain top of Division Two after they battled past Allithwaite A 6-4, while Netherfield beat Levens B 8-2.
