AS netball's World Cup takes place in Liverpool this week, new sessions are springing up across South Cumbria.
And a try-out session for walking netball, a social, more inclusive form of the game, is set for this week in Bowness.
Ellen Pearce, England Netball's Cumbria Development Officer, will be running the free session on the tennis courts on the Glebe in Bowness on Monday, July 22 at 11am.
And this will be followed by a free 'back to netball' session, for those who have played the sport before and might wish to return to the court, at the same venue at noon.
"Walking netball is played at a slower pace and is very social," said Ms Pearce.
"It's great for anyone who wants to keep playing, is recovering for injury, or fancies a more relaxed game."
