VITALITY Netball Superleague champions Manchester Thunder are spending three days in Cumbria teaching local, netball-mad youngsters netball skills and drills.

In the week of the Netball World Cup Final in Liverpool, the North West's superleague franchise confirmed they will be putting on three netball camps at The Lunesdale Sports Centre in Kirkby Lonsdale on July 30, 31 and August 1.

Bekky Airey and Paige Kindred will also be bringing the Vitality Netball Superleague trophy with them, giving youngsters taking part in the camps the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the champions cup.

Last summer, more than 60 young netballers aged 8 to 14 years took part in the sessions, and the club hope to top that figure this year.

"Our camps in Cumbria were a great success last summer and we're looking forward to another three days of netball fun," said Manchester Thunder director Debbie Hallas.

"This is young netballers' opportunity to attend sessions with players and coaches who play and coach at a top level."

The camps run from 10am to 3pm each day, with a day pass just £30 and a three-day pass £85.

Registration for the camps are online on Manchester Thunder's website. https://www.manchesterthunder.co.uk/event/cumbriacamp/
