THE 2019/20 West Lancashire Football League season gets underway this weekend with Kendal County, Milnthorpe Corinthians and Kendal United all keen to progress in what promises to be a highly competitive season.

Milnthorpe Corinthians, who are managed by former Kendal Town assistant manager James Marshall, begin their Division One campaign with an away game at Croston Sports.

The Cors will then travel to play Crookland Casuals on Tuesday in what is a difficult start to the season.

Milnthorpe's reserve team start on Saturday, August 10 when they make the same journey as their first team a week earlier as they travel to Croston Sports Reserves.

Kendal County start their campaign at Askam United.

The Claret and Blues, who are managed by Daniel Ferguson, will be eager to build on a positive 2018-19 season which saw them win the Senior Challenge Cup.

In Division Two, Simon Hansen's Kendal United begin with a home game against Freckleton on Saturday before entertaining Storeys on Tuesday.
