ROUGH swimming conditions and a strong wind did not stop Kendal Triathlon Club posting good results at the club championship race at Bassenthwaite.
Ben Hodgson was male club champion with a stunning effort in the standard distance race ie 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km very hilly run.
His time of 2:26:39 gave him fourth overall, while Steven Vaughan succeeded in claiming second spot in the super vets category in 2:38:42 and Andrew Douglas and Derek Youngsten also put in good performances.
Corrina Skelton was female club champion with a time of 3:30:12 while club member Kath Finn piloted Andrea Logan, a visually impaired athlete, to successfully finish her first standard distance triathlon and Wayne Singleton, from Jogging Pals, piloted Paul Cunningham, another visually impaired athlete, to a successful finish.
