A MAGNIFICENT effort by Kendal's Clara Spiby saw her crowned Cumbria Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Champion.
She put in a fine all round performance at the event in Carlisle at what is the county’s premier gymnastics event.
But it was ultimately her faultless beam routine, which was clean with all the required elements, that gave her the decisive bonus and the advantage over fellow Kendal gymnast Ruby Dickson, who took the silver all-around medal.
Individually, Spiby took the gold on the beam, Dickson gold on floor and vault and Millie Stephenson gold on the bars.
The trio took the senior team gold and Spiby also won the trophy for the highest score on an individual apparatus with her 11.50 on the beam to complete a highly successful day for the club.
At Intermediate level, Jessica Little also competed well to take an all-around bronze for Kendal.
