A FANTASTIC quartet from Kendal Judo Club have been selected to compete for England at the Commonwealth Judo Championships to be held in the Midlands at the end of this month.

Lauren Fox fighting at Under 48 kilos, Phil Rogan Under 66 kilos, Nye Greasley Under73 kilos and Danny Harper at Plus 100 kilos will be competing at the biggest judo tournament being held in the UK this year.

The entry is restricted to people from the 53 countries of the Commonwealth, and the foursome will be up against players from as far away as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and India.

They will also compete against a team from the small Pacific island of Nauru who trained at the Kendal Dojo in the run up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.
