Glorious weather greeted a full field of cyclists who tackled the gruelling Struggle Hill Climb from Ambleside up the Kirkstone Pass on Saturday.
The inaugural staging of the event proved a huge success, with hundreds of spectators lining the route.
Some fans brought cowbells, and one even brought his own vuvuzela.
Dan Evans won the senior event in a time of 13 minutes, 7 seconds, followed by Jude Taylor (13.49) with Martin Mikkelsen-Barron (14.06) third.
Rebecca Richardson first woman over the line in 16.25 followed by Sammie Stuart (18.45) with Hannah Tweddell (18.52) third.
Ben Granger (14.53) was first U23, Michael Gregory (15.48) first V40, Andy Taylor (19.26) first V50 and Jacob Wiles (20.20) first junior.
Organiser Jack Talbot said he was delighted at the how things went and is already making plans to make next year's event bigger and better.
