Kendal Ladies Second Team picked up their first point of the season after drawing 3-3 with Wigton Seconds in the early morning game at Queen Katherine School
The youthful seconds who are coached by Marcus Strong impressed against a resilient Wigton second team in what turned out to be an entertaining game.
Kendal made the break through after Sophie Strong scored however Wigton equalised moments later after the visitors caught Kendal off guard.
However in this lively game Kendal regained the lead for a second team when Rebecca Tarney found the net with a good finish.
Wigton continued to push forward and created plenty of opportunities which were thwarted by a good Kendal defence while Ruth Sealey made a number of saves.
The visitors battled back for a second time with both teams going in all square at the half time interval.
In the second half both teams continued to attack while Zoe Dempsey edged Kendal infront with a good finish.
Wigton pushed and eventually equalised before they pressed for the winner however Kendal’s defence cleared the ball away, and saw off a succession of penalty corners as the game ended all square.
