Milnthorpe Corinthians progressed into the next round of the Benevolent Trophy after a dominant 11-0 win at Westmorland League Division Three side Eden United.

Corinthians were unsurprisingly in dominant form against a struggling Eden who are fighting for survival in Westmorland League Division Three.

Declan Lamb scored four goals before braces by Nathan Hankinson and Matt Kitchen as well as goals from Aidan Pearson, Ben Thomas and Elliot Bousfield rounded off a comfortable win for Jimmy Marshall's men.

Kendal County almost pulled off a remarkable comeback before bowing out of the Presidents Cup in a 4-3 home defeat to Ulverston Rangers, with action from the game pictured left and right.

Ulverston were 4-0 up within the first 35 minutes thanks to a brace by Zach Milby and goals from Sean Mooney and Callum Fawcett.

But County got back into the game during the second half when Bailey Carlos, Peter Carradus and Harry Routledge scored in quick succession.

However Ulverston held out and secured their place in the next round.

In the West Lancashire League Reserve Division Three, Charlie Morton's 93rd minute goal rescued a point for Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves who drew 1-1 at Galgate Reserves.

This Saturday, Kendal County entertain Penrith Reserves in The Senior Challenge Cup while Milnthorpe travel to Sedbergh and Dent United.

Kendal United are away at Galgate in West Lancashire League Division Two while Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves travel to play Stoneclough Reserves.
