KENDAL Men made it three wins in a row as they returned from City of Manchester II with a 4-2 victory.
The Greens were in control from the first whistle and took the lead through a clever short corner routine.
Captain Aaron Screen changed the call at the last minute resulting in Stanworth slipping the back back to Chris Woodman, and the left back leathered a slingshot across the D for Noah Ross to deflect the ball beyond the goalkeeper at the back post. Liam Platt starred for Kendal during a man of the match performance which allowed the visitors to attack freely, Screen’s wicked cross to the back post tapped home by Ross.
It was 3-0 soon after when Kendal’s Scottish international Stephen Olliver applied a great finish from the edge of the D.
Manchester reduced arrears after the break as a change of formation paid off, and they made a game of it with 10 minutes to go when a deflection off the unfortunate Davis reduced the deficit to one goal.
The points were secured, though, when Ross completed his hat-trick after linking up with Stanworth.
