Kendal Golf Club played their weekly Winter Pro Am Competition in what was the last of a series of events which have been running over the last few months.

The event which saw 90 participants take to the golf course was done under strict guidelines where each member practised good social distancing in the height of the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic.

Kendal went even further, restricting the number of people allowed into their Pro Am Shop while the clubhouse was closed.

The rules of the event sees the winners of each week qualify for the Winter Final, which is scheduled for this weekend - however that date may change due to the aforementioned coronavirus issue.

However on a day full of action Dan Garnett and Trevor Atkinson became the latest to qualify for the final after they finished in first place scoring 52 points.

Both Garnett and Atkinson battled their way through on a very close and competitive day of action, as they each won a cash prize of £75.

In the other results J Lee and D Fitzsimmons just missed out by one point as they finished in second place as they picked up £50 each, while Danny Askew and Martin Wilson closed in third position winning £45 each.

Steve Atkinson and Martin Cullen closed the event out as they finished in fourth on what was a good day for the club.

NB Golf organises all the events and if anyone requires any information you can contact Nick who can be found in the Pro Am Shop which is located at Kendal Golf Club.
