KENDAL Town FC’s new chairman Jay Rossi says the Mintcakes will soon be ready to return to action.
The club has announced its upcoming matches and has its eyes set on the Northern Premier League.
Jay stated: “Our pre-season schedule has now been arranged, and we can’t wait to get going again as the team prepare for what we hope is a full season in the Northern Premier League.
“It is fantastic to play Carlisle United in one of the stand-out fixtures – the game is sure to attract a good crowd, which will be brilliant. Our relationship with Carlisle has been strong, especially after having two of their players on loan for most of last season.
“Off the pitch we have been working hard getting the ground ready for the new season, and we look forward to showing off those improvements for pre-season – the pitch is looking in great shape. However overall, we are happy with our pre-season schedule which includes a home game against Whitehaven.
“The team return back to training on Tuesday July 6 and they will be training three times on the first week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Our first game will be on July 13 at home to Slyne.”
