Gatebeck cyclist Andrew Barlow collected both the senior and the veteran best all-rounder awards at Kent Valley Road Club's annual dinner and prize presentation at the Lindeth Howe Hotel, Bowness.

Andrew topped the BAR with an average speed over 10, 25, 50 and 100 miles of 25.625 mph on NLTTA courses in the 2005 season. Other principal prizewinners David Baxter and Chris Barron collected their club championship 25 and road racing awards.

The presentation was made by joint guests of honour and Recycling team-mates Ben Greenwood and Rob Sharman. The 21-year-old multi national champion from Nether Kellet and Premier Calendar winner Sharman were interviewed' by MC Geoff Newcombe and also answered questions from the other guests in an entertaining conclusion to the formal proceedings.

Kent Valley's final fixture of the year is the Christmas Club 10 at Milnthorpe on Sunday, December 18, starting at 11am to be followed by a social gathering in a local hostelry afterwards.
