TO BE honest it was not a nice evening for Nantwich’s visit on Tuesday, and it seems there is no way we will get those games in hand played quickly.

We have to deal with the weather we are given but we don’t want it to ruin the season.

It is highly frustrating, especially as the ball was not stopping in play.

We could have had the groundsman out on the pitch at half-time, but we were not given the oppor-tunity.

I thought we played the ball well, but I can see why Nantwich didn’t want to continue at 2-0 down away from home.

We outclassed them and played well and as far as I’m concerned it was still playable.

We are in good form and it was encouraging to see Kyle Jacobs and Lee Mulvaney come in for Kieran Walmsley and Warren Beattie. They both put in great perfor-mances.

We want to prove to people we are the best in the league and we don’t like looking at the table as we are slipping down it.

We could have gone fifth and the lads all want to play as much as I do. We want to finish higher in the league than last year.

We need to get these games arranged as early as possible and get some more points on the board.

On the injury front things are looking better. Keeper David Newnes had a run-out on Tuesday and I don’t think he will be out as long as we thought.

I think he will be in contention for the game at Frickley Athletic on December 12.

Ian Kilford might need an operation on his ankle, but Paul Byrne was back on the bench.

We have a good side out at the minute though, so there is plenty of compe-tition for places and he might not just hop back in the team.

We have the loans of Rory Winters and Andy Bell running out this weekend so I’m going to be getting back in touch with their clubs to try to get them back on board.
