Kendal Town Ladies lost 3-0 to Bury at The ST&B Accountants Stadium.

Kendal, who were playing their first game in four weeks, played well despite the defeat.

Ultimately, Bury's quality told, especially in the second half as Kaitlin Sanderson's brace and Jordan Bailey's excellent solo effort sealed the win.

Kendal made a positive start and pressed Bury back in the opening stages. Joanne Thompson and Hayley Banks proved to be a constant threat for Bury's defence, but while Kendal played well they were unable to create any real opportunity on goal.

The visitors had the better of the chances especially through Jordan Bailey who saw her glanced header go wide of the post while Kaitlin Sanderson saw her shot on goal pushed away by Kendal shot stopper Megan Berry.

Bury opened the scoring on the stroke of half time when Sanderson's speculative effort on goal fell into the net.

Kendal made an imposing start to the second half as Thompson, Banks and Faye Armstrong attacked the visitor's defence.

Just like in the first half, Kendal were unable to create any real opportunity while Thompson saw her tame effort on goal comfortably saved by the Bury keeper.

Bury made the game safe when Jordan Bailey rounded the keeper before placing the ball into the net.

From that point, Bury were in complete control and made the game safe when Sanderson scored her second and Bury's third after another good attack caught Kendal off guard.
