TWO goals in the last five minutes saw Ibis complete a dramatic comeback to win a seven-goal thriller at Carvetti United in Division One of the Westmorland Football League.

Daniel Poslethwaite's stunning goal opened the scoring before Tim Blamire doubled the lead before the break.

Three goals from Carvetti saw them take the lead before the introduction of Cory Robinson, for only his second first-team appearance of the season following last year's hamstring injury, gave extra impetus to the visitors.

It was Robinson who levelled matters late on before Luke Deveney grabbed the late winner when he spun in the six yard box before flicking the ball home in the final minute of the match.

The gap to top club Keswick, however, is vast.

The Fitz Park club have started the season in devastating form - winning nine and drawing one with a goal difference of +29 from their ten matches.

A routine victory this week saw them sweep past Appleby 5-1 - Richard Bannister with a hat trick while goals from Andrew Frampton and Chris Rowley added gloss.

At Melbourne Park Kendal County Reserves won their first game of the season after defeating Unisun Athletic 3-0.

Jordan Knowles, Jordan Matias and Callum Moffatt with the goals.

In the other games Scott Underwood's 92nd minute free kick sealed Wetheriggs United the three points as they won 2-1 at Penrith Reserves, Lunesdale United pulled off a shock 4-3 win at Kirkoswald and Kendal United emerged victors in a narrow 2-1 win at in-form Windermere.

In Division Two, Wetheriggs United Reserves go four points clear at the top after a narrow 2-1 home win over Shap.

Burneside remain second in the table after a 4-3 win over Dent at Hollins Lane and Endmoor KGR had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Langwathby United.

At Bulmire Stripes, Joe Gordon hit a hat trick as Kendal United Reserves sauntered past Braithwaite 6-1.

Kendal came from a goal behind with Aiden Dent, Jordan Gander and Joel Nicholson also finding the net.

And Ambleside United Reserves and Greystokes Reserves drew 4-4, whilst Carleton Banks edge out Keswick Reserves 1-0.

In Division Three Burneside Reserves continue to lead the way at the top after Scott O'Callaghan scored four goals in a 5-2 win at Lunesdale United Reserves.

Joe Stansfield with the other goal for the leaders.

Joe Garner's brace and Alistair Speeds' goal helped Endmoor KGR Reserves to a 3-2 win at Dents Reserves, whilst a Jay Hayton hat trick eased Ibis Reserves past Penrith Academy in a 5-1 win.

Joe Carradus and Conor Stephens were also on target for Ibis.

Elsewhere, Appleby Reserves ran out 3-1 winners at Greystokes Reserves and Eden Thistle eased past Windermere Reserves in a comfortable 5-0 win.
