BOBBY Atkinson’s hat-trick led Appleby to a 3-1 win in The Senior Challenge Cup final against Kendal County.

Atkinson was in relentless mood after scoring all three goals in a scintillating first half display by the talisman.

Bailey Carlos scored a late consolation goal.

Appleby were also in league action on Tuesday night after they defeated Kendal County Reserve 3-0 at Parkside Road.

In the other games, Keswick remain undefeated in the league after a 4-3 win over Windermere SC.

The newly-crowned James Cropper Westmorland League champions went 1-0 up on six minutes when Richard Bannister scored.

Josh Hilton, Declan Robinson and Lewis Cumber were also on target.

Windermere battled and stayed in the game after Sam Fletcher, Steven Brown and Sam Harrison found the net however Keswick held on for yet another before being presented with the Division One title at the end of the game.

Kirkoswald defeated bottom of the table Ambleside United 3-0.

Patrick Farrell opened the scoring from a free kick before Nicholas Jake Holden’s long range volley and a Niall Renwick penalty rounded off a comfortable display by the hosts.

Sedbergh Wanderers defeated Penrith Reserve 2-1 on Tuesday night while Windermere won 3-0 at Endmoor KGR.

In Division Two, Castletown United secured promotion after they defeated rivals Carleton Banks 2-1.

Dent moved into third spot with a 4-1 away win over Windermere SC Reserves and Kendal United Reserves’ winning run continued after they defeated Eden Thistle 2-0 on Saturday before seeing off Windermere Reserves 3-0 on Monday night.

Dale Atkinson headed the hosts in front before Matt Kennedy scored the second. Windermere then saw a player sent off before Ben Dixon scored the third.

In Division Three Kirkby Stephen won the league after a 1-1 draw with Burneside.

Endmoor KGR Reserves lost 4-2 to Penrith Royal, and Penrith AFC Academy lost out 4-1 to third placed Lunesdale United.

In the final game seventh-placed Sedbergh Wanderers Reserves battled it out to a 1-1 draw with fourth-placed Kirkoswald Reserves with Ryan Bell on the scoresheet for Kirkoswald and a Connor Winn penalty for Sedbergh.
