A STRENGTHENED, quick-passing Wigton tested the Ambleside defence and went ahead through Jade Jackson despite Becky Camp’s impressive tackling and several saves from keeper Georgia Wilson.
Ambleside rallied, but Wigton made it 2-0 when Jackson converted a penalty flick.
The pendulum swing to the visitors , who levelled the scores when Donna Robinson turned and shot from inside the D.
A jinking run from Hannahlise Morris ended with her slotting home to give Ambleside a 3-2 lead only for Wigton to equalise from a penalty-corner.
Ambleside are lying fourth in the league, with four points separating the top six.
