KENDAL motorcycle racer Bradley Perie picked up a couple of fifth placed finishes at Snetterton, Norfolk for rounds eight and nine of the Thundersport GB Aprilia Superteens Championship.

On the Friday practice Perie showed great front running pace in the rain but was taken out by another rider. Luckily the Kirkbie Kendal school student wasn't hurt.

Qualifying seventh in the first race Perie was in second by lap four but a wrong gear change saw him drop to fifth.

In race two he clawed his way to third but in a hectic battle with the other riders he had to accept fifth again.

On the Sunday the 12-year-old lost grip in his third race when he was in third and crashed, but his best position came in the final race of the weekend.

With riders jostling for position, Perie crossed the line in fourth, and he is second in the championship overall.

He also comfortably leads the Nitro Newcomers Championship.

His next race takes place on July 12, and can be watched on sky channel 413.
