LAKELAND Kayak Polo team made their first outing in the north west league and showed cause for optimism in their early showings.
In their first fixture, against Brunswick U18s, Joe Waite scored once for Lakeland in a 5-1 defeat.
In their second match, against Penrith B, they achieved a much better result.
With strong defence, a cracking on target long shot by Jemma Powell collecting our goal, with the final score being 2-1.
Waite scored again in the third game against Hammerheads, and despite another goal from John Watkins, Lakeland were beaten 4-2.
