THE wind and driving rain failed to blow Kendal RUFC off course last week, and now they are eyeing a place in the top half of North One East.
The victory over high flying Driffield, which offered further evidence that their early season travails are far behind them, has set them up nicely for Saturday's game at Percy Park.
And if they can see off the struggling North Wast outfit and other results go their way, by Saturday evening Kendal could find themselves above halfway in the table for the first time this term.
The first XV have a week off next week and return to action at Mint Bridge on February 1 when they host Morley.
Kirkby Lonsdale also celebrated on Saturday as they got back on track with a narrow 10-5 North Premier victory at Carlisle which hoists them to a similar mid-table spot.
Kirkby could also surge into the top half of the table if they cam see off promotion chasing Macclesfield at Underley Park on Saturday.
