The Government has been urged not to forget the storm-battered communities of Cumbria in the aftermath of last month's devastating floods. Labour's Jamie Reed (Copeland) said there is a need to "win the peace" after the disaster which hit the county following record levels of rainfall. Floods Minister Huw Irranca-Davies warned that extreme weather events like last month's deluge would become more common as a result of climate change.
