A giant pile of rubble was all that remained of Edinburgh Court in Blackburn in 1990.
The block was the first of the deck access flats at Shadsworth to be demolished.
The first residents had moved into the flats in the late Sixties when they were seen as the town’s ‘housing of the future’ but just over 20 years later it was accepted that the experiment had failed.
