Former Carlisle United defender Nathaniel Knight-Percival is back on the move after being released by his non-league club.

The experienced centre-back has been let go by Kidderminster Harriers.

The club, who were relegated to National League North last season, have opted not to offer the 37-year-old fresh terms.

It sees him move on from the Aggborough club where ex-Carlisle boss Neil McDonald is assistant manager to Phil Brown.

Knight-Percival has been with Kidderminster for the last two years.

The Harriers were relegated from the National League in third-bottom position in 2023/24, and Knight-Percival is among eight players released.

The defender was with United from 2019 to 2020 having joined under Steven Pressley.

He formed a centre-back partnership with fellow arrival Byron Webster but the Blues struggled and Pressley was sacked in the autumn.

Former Wrexham, Peterborough United, Shrewsbury Town and Bradford City man Knight-Percival barely featured under Pressley's successor Chris Beech and eventually moved on after 19 appearances for the Cumbrians.

He went on to play for Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers ahead of his move to Kidderminster, while he ended last season on loan with Tamworth.

Manager Brown said of the decisions at Kidderminster: “That’s not a personal thing, it’s part of a manager’s life and part and parcel of the game.

"Some managers fancy certain players more than other managers, and if you’re more successful at fancying the right players then you have more of a chance of being successful.”
