CAMPAIGNERS fighting to overturn a Government decision approving a fracking at a site in Lancashire will have to wait for the latest legal decision.

At the end of a two-day hearing in London, three Court of Appeal judges reserved their decision over challenges brought by the Preston New Road Action Group and environmental campaigner Gayzer Frackman. The ruling will be given on a date yet to be fixed.

The appeal proceedings were the latest stage in a legal battle to prove the government’s decision to over-rule Lancashire County Council and grant a planning application for the site was neither fair nor lawful.

There are fear fracking could come to the M65 corridor in East Lancashire.
