George Frederick ATKINSON

ATKINSON George Frederick Passed away peacefully after a short illness at Lancaster Royal Infirmary on Thursday 26 September, aged 80 years. A former pupil and then teacher at Kendal Grammar School, he is succeeded by his son Mark and daughter Suzanne and grandchildren Chloe and William. There will be a short service at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Friday, 11 October at 2.00pm, followed by a Service to celebrate Fred's life at Windermere Methodist Church at 3.30 pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired can be made for Oxfam at the church or via Hayes & Parkinson Ltd. Please wear bright colours.

Remember Fred when he lived in Park Avenue, a good friend who always had time for the younger members of the "gang".

I am sorry to hear about the death of Fred Atkinson, who was a schoolmate
of mine at Kendal Grammar School for 5 years. Fred was always friendly and
had a relaxed, smiling demeanor. I can imagine him being a popular
teacher during his career. Condolences to Mark and Suzanne, and his
grandchildren Chloe and William.
