SMITH Jeanne Formerly of Neaum Hurst, Skelwith Bridge and latterly of Winder Gate, Frizington. Died peacefully in the West Cumberland Hospital on Monday 1st August 2022, aged 96 years. Loving mum to Julian, mum-in-law to Lindsay and a wonderful granny to Maddy and Issy. Funeral service to take place at Distington Hall Crematorium on Friday 12th August at 2.00pm. Family flowers only by request. Donations, if desired to Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Friends of the Lake District c/o Adams, Read & Hocking Funeral Directors, Towerson Street Funeral Home, Towerson Street, Cleator, CA23 3EL.

A truly wonderful lady who I had the immense pleasure of working with at Ambleside Infant School in the 70's. A kind caring teacher who loved every child she worked with.
