WHELAN Mike and all the family of the late Val would like to express their sincere appreciation to relatives, friends, neighbours and former work colleagues for all the cards and messages of sympathy on the recent sad loss of Val. Their dearly loved wife, mum, nana and great nana. Thank you to all those who paid their respects in various ways to Val on the day and for the very generous donations of over £600 which have been forwarded to Bowel Cancer UK. Thank you also to Greenbanks Florist for the beautiful floral tributes and to Christine Wood for taking a lovely service, exactly how Val wanted it. Finally, a very special thank you to Damon Steadman at Walkers Funeral Directors in Appleby for his caring and professional guidance and help at this difficult time.
