ONE of the region's most distinguished musicians helps the Lakeland Sinfonia - and the Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society - celebrate 50 years of performing live classical orchestral music in Kendal, on Saturday, November 30 (7.30pm). The world class, Ulverston-based pianist, Martin Roscoe, will take to the Westmorland Hall stage as soloist for Grieg's Piano Concerto, with the excellent Sinfonia ensemble conducted by Philip Ellis also performing Vaughan Williams' The Wasps Overture and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 1 Winter Day-dreams.
