Review: You’re Coming With Me Lad by Mike Pannett
THIS is Mr Pannett’s second book, and it should definitely not be his last.
In it he recalls stories and annecdotes from the last ten years of his life as a police officer in North Yorkshire.
The book encompasses all the trials and tribulations of being a Yorkshire bobby - the brawls, the domestic violence, the car chases and, bizarrely, his experience of bank holidays and a full moon.
The autobiographical style and first person perspective make the book compelling as Mr Pannett’s descriptive prose dances through the reader’s imagination.
