DANCING will be compulsory when Bad Manners bring their 40th anniversary tour to Preston’s 53 Degrees next year.
Between 1980 and 1983, the group, featuring larger than life front man Buster Bloodvessel, spent 111 weeks in the UK's pop charts and had 12 hit singles including Lip Up Fatty, My Girl Lollipop and Special Brew which turned them into heavyweight ska legends.
Buster Bloodvessel and Co. continue to give a crackin' good show of energetically aggressive and highly danceable good-time ska - the original non-stop party band.
They first found fame in the early 80s when other ska bands like Madness, The Specials and The Selecter were dominating the UK charts.
Bad Manners were formed in north London in 1976 and Bloodvessel is the only original member left in the group, whose debut album Ska 'n' B reached number 34 in the UK charts.
Their highest singles success in the UK charts were Special Brew and Can Can, which both reached number three.
Bad Manners play 53 Degrees on May 20.
