GIFTED young cellist Yuuki Bouterey-Ishido is the soloist for the Haffner Orchestra on Saturday, June 30 (7.30pm), at Lancaster’s Ashton Hall.
Conducted by Jonathan Lo, prizewinning Royal Northern College of Music student Yuuki - who steps in for previously advertised soloist Abigail Hayward - will join the acclaimed ensemble for Schumann’s romantic Cello Concerto in A minor. The orchestra will also perform Schubert’s beautiful ninth symphony, the Great.
Having graduated from the International Menuhin Music Academy in 2015, Yuuki studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under cellist Hannah Roberts.
He has won many prizes, and has been invited to perform at major festivals around the world, including London’s Schnittke Festival and the Semaine Internationale de Piano et de musique de chambre in Switzerland.
