COMING up as part of the Bowness Theatre Festival is a gig on Sunday, November 11 (8pm), from Cara Dillon, an award-winning performer whose voice has been compared to Eva Cassidy.
Supporting the singing sensation is a new version of a folk band some might remember from the 1970s - Therapy.
Apparently, the group has reformed, with original members Dave Shannon and Sam Bracken now performing with Sam's wife Elaine (the original third member was Fiona Simpson).
Kendal-based Sam tells me that they decided to get back together after a successful reunion concert at the Waterfront Hall, in Belfast, last year and the gigs are coming in fast and furious, as interested followers of the original Therapy are keen to see the new line-up, now going out as Alternative Therapy.
For further information about the festival, which is staged at the Old Laundry until November 26, see The Westmorland Gazette Leisure section, on Friday, November 2.
