KENDAL Windows on Art has landed a £14,500 grant from Arts Council England, North West.
The cash will enable artistic director Carole Hamby and her team of trustees to appoint a new, one-day a week project administrator as well as put more funds into the charitable trust's growing artistic programme.
KWoA is one of the region's great visual art success stories, driven tirelessly by Carole since she founded the event in 1997.
Carole said they felt "very secure and happy" with the award. Once the fresh face is installed behind a desk, the creative Ms Hamby hopes to stand down and concentrate more on her own artwork.
