Margaret sings for Lancaster organ appeal
SOPRANO Margaret Pattinson has added her voice to a fund-raising appeal for a new pipe organ at Lancaster Priory.
The well-known Cumbrian performer and singing teacher has teamed up with her son, organist Ian Pattinson, and tenor, Paul Baxter, to record a disc of 18 solos, duets and organ pieces, in aid of the Priory’s organ fund.
So far £300,000 has been raised with another £100,000 still needed.
Billed as music for all tastes, Sing ye Muses is available on 015395-60338 or from the Priory on Sundays, after the 10am and 6.30pm services.
