LOWIS Margaret Died peacefully on 24th October at Applethwaite Green, Windermere aged 85 years. Much loved wife of more than 60 years to Donald Lowis, dear mum to Joy, Sean and Sarah, and very special sister, nana, aunty and more to the whole family. Family and friends are invited to meet for a service in celebration of her life at Beetham Hall on Monday 13th November at 9.30am, and afterwards at The Lamplighters, Windermere. Please wear whatever you wish, flowers are welcome and if desired a donation may be made to Margaret's chosen charity which supports homeless people in South Lakeland - Manna House https://www.manna-house.org.uk/ The family would like to give special thanks to ALL the wonderful staff at Applethwaite Green, the Windermere District Nurses and Dr Cook for their outstanding care. Sorry to hear of Margrets passing. Back in the early 80s I worked with Margaret at a local ironmongers store. She helped me in my first job and took me under her wing. I’ll never forget her and her lovely smile.
