PEOPLE are being urged to be vigilant after river levels rose today (Sunday) in Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
As the snow has melted and rain has fallen, the River Kent in Kendal and the River Wenning through Bentham has risen significantly during the day.
The Environment Agency is urging caution but has not issued any flood warnings or alerts for any of the region's waterways.
